Excellent work there guys, quite inspirational.

I'd fancied getting some North European Bronze Age types, but you guys have stretched it soooo faaar back!

We'll draw the line at Tribal Cambrian -The Trilobite Wars  ;)

The miniatures are more of Lucid eyes Savage Core range. I removed the spears as they were a bit advanced for the time period.

After watching Scott and Viv from Knights of Dice build a cool Tribal ravine table, I though I should get to work on a project that I have been aiming to do for a couple of years.
I wanted a big corner hill, so it could fit on any sized table. The shapes and colours were inspired by those of Central Australia and Northern South Australia (Palm Valley and Flinders Ranges to be precise). However, I did trade off between a realistic level of detail and playablilty.
The caves:

and after so texture on the cliffs and some paint:

I think Tribal is proving to be a popular rule set is its flexibility for the genre. Tribal warfare has many different aspects, I am playing using African tribes for some Tarzan games.

Also the rules are refreshlingly different. I never thought I'd be advocating a card based game system, but when I tried a game the combat round felt like combat (trying to read your opponent and decide whether to play a feint or go for an attack). Using the same cards for measuring movement, unit coherency and such is also a neat touch.

Cave board looks cool btw.

Cool stuff!...Reminds me of a very very old game mentioned in miniature wargames magazine back in the 80's, think it was called 'Little Big Man' set in Papua New Guinea where combat was very ritualistic and centered around 'gardens' or formal clearings in the jungle. The rules were very basic to the extent that it was based on hands..outstretch your palm and thats how far you can run and throw a weapon  lol......Funny thing is i can just picture all you guys checking out your palm sizes...yep, size really does matter  lol lol

I got a sneak peak at the greens for Eureka miniatures new prehistoric range of Denisovans (to go with the rules in Tribal: Primeval). Miniatures are going to be ready by Salute next year.
