New Bug Bear 28mm GI sculpts

 Saw these & was impressed by the sculpts, (by Bug Bear - they're not avilable quite yet but apparently soon) but do you think their proportions are too 'heroic'?

They look great, my type of figures, slightly heroic agreed.
However are these pictures of genuine figures or just very good renders?

Be better of they weren't using that splayed legs squat that doesn't even fit on the base.

Bad sculpts IMHO. Poor choice of pose and dreadful proportions.

The stance is daft, and they are a good deal bulkier than I'd like, but allowing for that, proportions and body masses are consistent, objects are cleanly delineated, folds in clothing are convincing and the finish is smooth.  So, good sculpting of poor aesthetic choices, I'd say.  You'd need a WW2 buff to comment on the accuracy of weapons, uniforms and equipment.

Tim - I'm not sure myself if they're renders or minis, (as I've discovered that they're planning a KS I'm now inclined to say render - don't know why) but given the quality possible with CAD minis I'd hazard a guess that the actual minis would be pretty much the same.
 I have to say that I like the 'quality' of the sculpt - it's well executed, but they're a bit too much for my taste. I agree that the poses are a little OTT - they resemble those of a well known companiy's 'Spass Muhreens' - not bad in & of itself, but a mattre of personal taste (so I broadly agree with Steve F).

They look like renders to me.
This is one of the problems with KS, from my perspective I'd like to buy a sample box, have a look at the figures then decide to buy more. I wouldn't invest in a (all be it very nice) computer image.

I like the retro look of the packaging...oh, and the figures are ok for me.

Lord knows a well sculpted range of WW2 US Army troops would be welcome. But these poses are ludicrous

As renders go the 'sculpting' looks clean but as others have already said the poses are fucking daft and they look far too hefty. Maybe they based their sculpts on photos of reenactors?

My particular bug bear is that there are already plenty of ranges in mid-war uniforms in M-41 Parsons jackets and gaiters. Hardly anything with the M-43 uniform and nothing in herringbone  twill fatigues for Operation Torch or the Pacific.

My first thought was actually "man, cool packaging".  As everyone else said, crisp sculpting...a little silly. (i.e. they'd fit with normal Warlord minis from the goofy stances etc., but not many historical sets).

Feels like what if GW did WWII.

Pretty sure they are renders, but these days those are quite indicative of what the models should look like. Not my cup of tea but I could see these working with some of the more heroic weird war miniatures out there. Their off proportions remind me of hellboy for some reason.

Nice details but They look a little bottom heavy to me, legs are very thick, and I would hope all the leg options aren't crouching.
