World Eaters vs. World Eaters. It was carnage all around.
As if property values weren't low enough, look who just came into the neighborhood.
These guys brought guns to an axe fight.
You leave the door open and look what comes in.
That Chaplain is going to have a lot of work to do soon.
Overall it was a good game. I did a write up and if any one is interested they can read it here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer30k/comments/52birp/the_battle_of_blank_point/The scenario was for the traitors to draw the loyalists away from the artifact or kill them so that a team of Dark Mechanics guys could get to it and activate it. The loyalists had their own guy working on it though. When either side had their adept touching the device they could roll a d6 (so 3d6 for the traitors as they had 3 of them if they were all in b2b contact.) If the total for one side ever went over 21 on the cumulative dice rolls that side won.
Of course if your tech guys got wiped out, you couldn't win. The loyalist tech adapt got killed when he was at 20. The Dark Mechanicum guys got killed after they reached 19, so it was a draw, but a very close game.
All the traitors had at the end was half a squad of veterans, a rhino and a dreadnought. The loyalists had a half squad of heavy weapon guys, a dreadnought and a rhino.
