The Eternal Champion finally gets some paint
« on: September 14, 2016, 03:05:38 PM »
Elric and Moonglum finally got some paint slapped on them yesterday.

I've had these figures for almost 30 years now.  I got them when I was about 13 or 14.  They had some paint on them from back then, enamel.  So they got stripped about 15 years or so ago when I was good enough to do them justice.  I did actually paint the one in armour a while back and have used him in some AoS games recently.  I want to use these guys for an upcoming game, possibly this weekend.  So that required breaking my almost 30 year long habit of not painting them.

I'm still thinking about the Warscroll for Elric but mostly have it figured out.  He is going to be pretty tough, but he should be.

The photos aren't the best, especially of Elric as it was tough to get his skin to show up right with the contrast between it and his clothing.

Jesus, those figures are older than I am!

And they look very good. I especially like Elric's pants, the stories really made him a dandy and I think you've captured that very well  :)

Nice work - I always enjoyed these miniatures, and Moonglum was a very often used NPC/foe as a thief in our AD&D games!

I'm glad you guys like them.  I'm basing some Melnibonean infantry tonight and they should make an appearance in the game tomorrow as well.

Ulrik Skarsol is up next and then Hawkmoon after that.  Corum is already finished.  I have to find Jerry and Erekose.  I'm not sure where they went.
