After a longer hiatus, the build something contest 2017 got in the way , here are the next finished miniatures in my Halfmen army. Warriors of Dietrich von Schalke:

Will he part of a mixed unit as well?

No this will be a 12 men spear unit . There will be another 12 men bill unit and a 12 men archer unit. these units are Dietrich von Schalkes own men so the units are a bit bigger as he is the big mean overlord.
I am working on the Dietrich von Schalke mini at the moment too so watch this space ! There will be a special army standard bearer too in the future. Have to think about rules for him in Dragon Rampant.

How long does it take you to get one of them ready for the field? Do you do them in badges?

I paint them individually as I can hold on to my painting mojo better that way. I hate when you paint say 6 or 12 figures at a time and nothing gets really finished in a reasonable amount of time. At the moment I paint a blood bowl team for my son and I started doing all 12 figures at the same time

I really look forward finishing them at the weekend.

when I paint one figure at a time I can finish the figure in an afternoon when they are not made of Resin as I use a hairdryer then to reduce drying time. You can't do that with resin obviously so they take a bit longer !

Here is the army general of my halfmen army . I called him Dietrich von Schalke. As I have already said the complete halfmen army is painted in the colors of my favorite soccer club FC Schalke 04 . Blue and white.

I see - yeah - it's so much easier to paint 1 mini. And nice goat lord, very Schalke. :--)
