Hmm, I am curious. Why do the elves have beards?

I like the orcs' style as they would make great hobgoblins and the giant hyena mount is very interesting. The humans though are just vikings and there are quite a few viking ranges out there.
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

I really like the style. Will the final figures be made from soft plastic, hard plastic, resin or metal?

They will be first be made in metal and in the future, plastic, they are already designed to be steel mold-friendly.

However, after some comments in other places, we will make them first in 28mm and then in 1/72.

For our upcoming crowdfunding campaign in October -that will help fund the production of the 28mm troops of 4 factions- we found that it would be interesting to sculpt and offer as addon (and freebies) a set of cult/religion 3D printable terrain, relative to each faction..

We started with the classical "viking" humans, but there will be a set of arabian (hassim dwarves), persian/assyrian ( akkyri elves) and mongolian (uyghurd orcs) terrains.

And of course, with each set of terrain: a Priest! to acompain the warriors and bless them (or buff) before going to battle and defend the homeland!

I feel printing the same design in different scales ( 28mm vs 20mm ) doesn't work in the end. The detail on chainmail/fur/hair etc. will be somewhat crude on the bigger ones, as we've seen on your site.
But nevertheless I wish you good luck with them, in the end the market decides  :).

the painted vikings you mean? they were  1/72, maybe the painting was "crude" i guess, because then, the rest of my miniatures in 28mm are very well "finished", here you can see images:

i think they are not crude, and that you meant the 1/72 vikings ?

Nope, I mean the designs. Painting doesn't matter, since the models come unpainted. Do not feel offended, but on this model ( which is 28mm according to the site ) the scale mail is too crude ( as in, way too big ):

http://www.menhirgames.com.ar/product-page/bfc294ce-b808-fea7-8e6d-a8fa3d526481

I count 3 + 2 rows of scale rings from the shoulder to the elbow, and 1 single scale is as big as the lenght of the nose of the model. If intended as toys, that's fine, but as wargame scale models I would pass on these...

Basically, you have to think what can be bought from your competitors today ( e.g. Reaper, Hasslefree, Crooked Claw or even oldies but goodies like Ral Partha Europe or Mirliton ( Grenadier ) for the 6.50$ you charge for this single model. I feel you either need to lower your prices a bit or improve on the quality of your sculpting, or else it might be quite difficult to gain a steady customer base...

Again, not to piss you off, but honest advise...

Hey! its ok :) i wanted to know what were you meaning, i get your point, and i share it, the mail could have been smaller, yes it was a mistake from me as sculptor since it is not the same having a physical model than looking at it in the screen, so i made them "bigger just in cas" but it came bigger thatn it looked, it was improved in the last set of models:

I am still curious, what is the reason behind the elves having beards? Typically elves do not have facial hair. Is there background to these miniatures that explain why they have facial hair?

Well, i would ask, why an elf, a living being with organic, biological needs would not have beard or body hair ? Why can he have eyebrows, head hair and eyelashes, "fur" that plays the same rol as facial hair..

Would elves have or not have pubic hair? i would not limit the design of a creature to what is "fashion", an unquestioned uncritiquesed fashion or "culture".. We are talking about living being, not gods, and a living being that in a fantasy setting, has evolved during millenia, should have the same evolution adaptations to the surroundings, the medium where he has developed as a specie.
