Some of those Russian movies look awesome and this one is no exception.
Better than the endless parade of comic book movies or console game tie-ins from Hollywood.
Makes me think about learning to speak Russian

Interesting... although I'm rather surprised, it seems the film is called "Viking" (Russian: Викинг)?

I always understood that the Russians did not call their Swede invaders "Vikings", but "Varangians" (Russian: Варяги)...

If the film calls them "Vikings", I suspect that it's to satisfy a worldwide public... and that certainly means less authenticity...?

It does look great, but like virtually all modern Dark Age films you see a distinct lack of chainmail which at least the lords and household warriors should be equipped with imho.  That said it does look cool.
