Chariot Racing with Faustus Furius

hey guys,

I start this Topic to stop highjacking the Vindice one "a day at the races" . 

If you have any ideas, pictures or blog site about Faustus Furius, you are welcome to post right here !

I start with my own project in 28mm, with home made chariots, Perrys medieval Horses and metal Driver issue from my lead mountain.



A roman (the emperor favorite may be), the greek, the professional (Massala or Ben Hur), an another professional (a nasty dwarf) and the spartan.



An egyptian, a Persian, a nubian prince, a german or nordic and an Ethiopian driver.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to lay out a track?

The FF rules show examples of typical forum ovals, as well as a race in a town/city with buildings.

I'm looking to do something that is transportable & modular, say 8-12" pieces, inside and outside corners/curves, straught walls. I have several large mats that will work for the ground.

Walls would be low, no more than 2" in height for my 15mm chariots. Debating on whether there are steps/seating or just flat topped walls. Flat would allow me to place some statuary and turn markers. And the odd mob or three.

Could be. I'm not sure to get 10 chariots in all.
May be i'll make the players choose their own character between the selection you have seen. But i have to find the trick to make them removable for this purpose
