This past weekend I ran a game at ToonCon (Saskatoon's annual game convention) that I called REGINA TRENCH. The game focused on the actions of the 1st Canadian Division at the battle of Thiepval Ridge, 26 September 1916 - 100 years ago this week!

Everybody getting set up.

Creeping barrage rolls across no man's land.

Canadians fall in on the German front lines as the barrage lifts to the second line.

For a full report of the action and loads more pictures check out the post on my blog:

If anyone's interested I also did a post about how I made the terrain:

I concur - excellent stuff (table and miniatures - which you've posted a lot on already).

That modular trench table is amazing.

Off to read your how-to blogpost... not that I need a giant project like a Western Front trench setup or have the space for it!

Great work! That is some very impressive terrain building.

A trench table like that is on my list of things I need to make at one point. Yours will certainly be saved for inspiration.

wonderful.  I started a trench table project like that, but so much work.  I never completed them.  Maybe this will be some inspiration for me.
