For me it will be to try and get some miniatures painted up.It will not matter what as long as i do something. Also try to get some games in by going to the games club and seeing what is being played or planned to be played.

Like most i have way too many different projects sitting around.

I have to say i am interested to see Shadowking1957's take on Gor.I used to love reading those books and the cover illustrations were great.Might have to dig them out again.

I am gong where the butterfly takes me.

At the moment my butterfly attentionspan is drawn towards some form of medieval and/or landsknecht type project. But I also always seem to land on my ongoing Viking army project. That will one day end in a massive Ragnarok game with an army of vikings fighting of an army of Jotuns. But most likely the real Ragnarok will come sooner than my miniature version of it....

My 2017 is quite simple.

In terms of painting and modelling I have 4 main projects:
Finish 'Ice Station Zebra' project - terrain, buildings, miniatures and cards.
Complete the painting of my Punic Wars Republican Romans and Allies (and resist buying any more)
Do a little more to my FIW collection - Indian village and occupants, French marines and Regulars and Indian canoes.
Start my 'Boots and Saddles' project - 1870's Cavalry v Indians in the Mid West - terrain and rules (miniatures almost complete)

In gaming terms:
Re-run our Punic Wars Campaign with revised rules.
Playtest Ice Station Zebra (My own rules)
Playtest Boots and Saddles (rules converted from M&T)

Overall; Resist being diverted into another period (NWF, Vietnam, Italian Wars - I'm looking at you in particular).

1. Finish painting Alien vs. Predator "The hunt begins" miniatures to start playing.
2. Start painting more Imperial Assault miniatures to play games more often.
3. Start painting more Congo miniatures to get into gaming.
4. Start painting more Frostgrave miniatures to play games more often.
5. Generally painting more 28mm miniatures to reduce the lead pile.

Long term project that will be worked on in parallel shall be:
1970s cold war military and civilians (miniatures, buildings, aircraft, vehicles)
I plan to build a proper airliner and airport terrain pieces in 28mm, convert and scratchbuild a few vehicles and paint more miniatures for that subject.

1. Unearth & catalog the unfinished projects (part of a comprehensive workshop turnover that's already bearing fruit)
2. Actually paint something - 2015/16 was spent dealing with and working past a lot of Life Situations, and gaming was sadly low priority
3. Play.

On the upside, my lovely amazing girlfriend who is a professional artist has expressed an interest in painting miniatures. This should be fun!
from Mr.Vampire: "It's the paintjob that makes the miniature fight harder not the size."

WW2 Russians for 43, first Russians ever, then when that drab lot is done: 7tv and a LOT of it. I want to paint in colour again! Bond! Space! Apes! Strange Brew! Ghostbusters! I have a mountain and it's 2017's fun pile. And yes, I will add to it.

Cool - I'm doing 7TV, too!  Just ordered the Department X set as my Christmas present for my family to give me :D

But first up in 2017 will be moving and then unpacking -- the new house will have a game/project room to share with my wife for gaming and painting and (her) sewing.   I have miniatures I literally haven't set eyes on in a decade because of...(let me explain.  no, there is too much to explain, I will sum up) life...so I'm very eager to get minis back on the table.

Things I'm working on for 2017:
Department X boxed set from Crooked Dice
British Colonials for Sharp's Practice  (on Mars - have a few Martians to paint up)
LED-lit Martian Tripods (from All Quiet but for general VSF use -- my first LED project and I'm sooooo close to being done)

And gaming wise -- I want to complete and release the rules I've been working for doing solo X-Com-like gaming.  I've had good feedback from beta testers and it's time to get them out to the general public for more testing.

2017 should be a good gaming year for me!

I'll finish the commission job I'm already working on (I don't think I can end it before 2017). After that, who knows...Probably something in 15mm, maybe fantasy or scifi or both.

Complete my 2015 goals!

1. They were complete the ACW 12mm armies and do two new 10mm Napoleonic armies (French and Austrian).

2. Move to a single scale.

Of course it may turn out that  objectives 1 and 2 may contradict each other if I go the way of 28mm.
