Sinaloan Cartel
« on: October 03, 2016, 08:44:37 PM »
So seeing that Tiny Terrain is thinking of doing some narco cartel figures, lead me to dig out my collection of narcos. The figures are conversions from a Zombicide zombie, a Black Scorpion cowbot, an OG ACW fig, WGF plastic survivors, Warlord pacific marines and TAG african mercs. There are also a couple of Spectre and a Reaper figure that made it in with getting modded. Oh yeah the masked guys in the camo are from RAFM.

Here are the vatos in all their glory.

Then a head on shot of the characters.

Hopefully the photos show up this time.

Their Opfors can be Bikers, Skinheads, US Police/SWAT, or I am working on doing a imagination of a pseudo Venezuela collapsing into warlord level areas with US and Chinese lead 'humanitarian' missions.

Rules wise I am thinking Pulp Alley for real small scale stuff and scaling up to Black Ops or Force on Force for the bigger games.

Pretty cool

Definitely a bit on the fantastical side, but pretty entertaining.  Having squared off with these fellas, they're a rather serious organization.  At that time though the real bad boys on the block were the Los Zetas (a strongarm faction consisting almost entirely of ex-Mexican special forces).  Since I left that line of work they folded into another cartel.  They're a constant evolution and I couldn't even begin to tell you which one is in power at the moment.  They're better armed/funded than the majority of modern military units.

Definitely a bit more inspired by El Señor de los Cielos where the cartels are relatively easy to tell apart from each other by their 'uniforms'. My girl's interest in that series is what sort of prompted my collection here.

When I was looking for the army list for Black Ops I kind of had to laugh about the criminal list being restricted from the military heavy weapons. I figure I will run them as a combo of militia and mercenaries

An absence of heavy weapons? Like these for example?

Once I get a few more regular trucks and SUVs sorted out I think there will be at least one or two of the those after market armored cars.
