Don´t tell me they can climb stairs now!

always could*... just the budget was never up to it, they tried it in Revelation of the Daleks, but the effect was terrible, did it proper in Remembrance...

*(except for the first story where they drew power through static electricity running through metal floors - but then in their own city they didn't have stairs)

Oh good Lord. How did mankind ever make it?!? lol

I only saw a handful of old (late 70s, from the look of it) episodes back in the 1990s. Whenever there were Daleks (not often enough for my taste), they were just rolling around in coincidentally favourably flat surroundings... ;)

Very nice and really nice paintjob! I think a gloss on the windows would go a long way to making them look better.

now with added windows... probably a bit more muted than had been suggested, but I like it...

Now that´s a very nice subtle addition! Not as dull or "hollow" as the black ones, and not as "garish" as those fancy reflection-effect windows that often look exaggerated.

lifted from Frothers for ease  :D (and hopefully checked for fruity language)

I ordered a couple of sheets of blank decal paper from eBay

(these guys are good and quick and relatively cheap per sheet - eBay link )

you need to get the right sort for your printer as running inkjet paper through a laserjet melts the paper or something - either way bad news (especially as I use the printers at work)

you also need to work out what your design is going to be (unless you have a flash printer that can print white ink) and get clear decal paper for dark designs or white decal paper for white designs... as the UNIT logo was a massive white circle, I went for white obviously, also allowed me to do white text...

designing your decal, you need massive resolution for crispness - these were at 700 pixels on an A4 sized piece of paper, I had done some ages ago with Jolly Bob piggybacking on a sheet that were at 300 and they were ok, but I couldn't find them and ended up doing some more and figured might as well go the whole hog and upped the resolution. you also have to fill the sheet, you print it and the whole sheet is then set, you can't do it piecemeal apparently, so you have to do a lot (anyone need some UNIT logos  ) which I figured would cover for some mistakes, and then allow for other vehicles as they came along...

I took a chance with my design, and knowing that it wouldn't be clear, I printed everything on a black background, that way I didn't need to be so precise when cutting the decal out of the printed sheet, I still did it as close as possible, but when I'd left the decal to dry on the model for 24 hours, I just painted over the excess to the edge of the design... worked a treat

The windows are changed in only a subtle way, but they look a lot better.
