Airfix has a 1/48 Supermarine Walrus due out in July 2017, apparently.

Back from the dead, almost.

I'd love to have one of these. At 1/48 the wingspan will be  a little less than 12" and the length just under 10", so it will be big but still work quite nicely for gaming.

Nice as it is.
A more durable version for gaming is the Smer version undoubtedly not as detailed but you can pick them up for around £10. Not a brilliant pick but you get the idea.

The Airfix model is lovely but the SMER kit is probably more suitable for gaming, being having less detail (and thus less fragile).

That's a lovely vignette, tin shed. Inspiring.

I'm sure it's been said before, but that's a lovely paintjob on the Walrus Tin Shed.

Cheers chaps if you like I'll pop a new thread up with some of my 'Pulped' planes.(I did do one on the walrus but I don't think i posted pics of the finished plane)
Steve's link has had me pondering another Walrus this time with the wings folded back,Because I think it looks very interesting (and it'll take up less space) posed like the Airfix one.

Fantastic! THANKS for suggesting the Smer version. Definitely the right price for me!  :D
