Now working on the machine gun turrets:

(and I know the barrel is tilted over to one side...have to fix that, if I can be bothered  ::)

Here's what the turret looks like with a basecoat of Humbrol Matt Grass Green, with some additional armour plating and a door added to the wagon.

A bit more done to the machine gun wagon, with both turrets now magnet based to the top:

I've also started on the gun turret armed wagon, with a couple of fridge magnets sandwiched together and plated over with plastic card, lego bits and a flight stand for the gun barrel, very much like the old one I scratch built before:

It's all a bit slow but I've been away for a week climbing mountains in North Wales  :D

I finished building the machine gun twin turret wagon today (about time!) so it's on to the armoured engine and tender next, so that I have a viable train for the on-going club Back of Beyone campaign sooner rather than later  ???

Now working on the loco and tender but it's all a bit basic at the moment. I've also now realised that I need to add a skirt around the wagons so that they line up properly with the loco. Bit of a pain but I think it will improve the wagons anyway, which look a bit too high up as they are.

There's now a bit of a step between the wagons and the tender, so it'll be fixed with some 5mm x 1mm x 16mm plastic card strip, when it arrives in the post next week some time.

Very impressive that has worked out really well can't wait to see more. Think I need to start playing with some Lego.

Genius!  What a cracking excuse to get the Lego out.  Your train building skills are without match.  Superb, well done!
