Actually, I'm a little frustrated in how slow things have been going - mostly to waiting for things to arrive.  It seems that each thing I do is held up for postage or modelling shops having only small stocks of what I need.  However things have started to arrive so I hope to have a greater output next week.

Well not until BLAM  :D :D

Excellent start, my BLAM 2016 project is still in the planning stage ;)
Although the miners arrived this week, so at least I am partially up and running. :)

I have finished off one of the terrain boards.

I started with this:

Then I gave it a couple of coats of thinned filler to produce this, which gave me both the primer that I needed and toned down the blue to a more ice-like colour:

Then I added the Snow Tex spreading it first with a small pallette knife and then using a stiff brush to stipple the snow effect into the shape that I wanted.  The end result looks like this.

And here is a close-up shot.

I will let it dry completely and then give it a couple of coats of varnish to seal the board.  All I then need to do is paint the edges and number them.  This allows me to put them together in the same order each time, which will become important (and clearer) later.

One down and 12 to go!! :-[

That's a really pleasing effect with the snow texture and the blue coming through. 13 tiles? Hmmm, that's an odd number. I'm curious  ???
