Pulp Rocket in B&M (UK)
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:35:48 AM »
Bit of a random find in our local B&M store this week, a Toy Story branded bubble bath container that would make an awesome pulp rocket!

Best pic I could find on the web, sorry.

The rocket is hard plastic, and approx. 8 inches high. It would need a little work to remove some of the branding, and a bit of a repaint and detailing, but should work as a lovely three or four man transport for Flash Gordon type adventures. A 28mm figure should come up to around the middle of the stabiliser fin.

They only had a couple as they were selling them off (£1.29 each!) so The Boy got one to play with in the bath, and Daddy got one to muck about with....

Check your local B&M stores if you get the chance!

Having actually opened it up to use the bath stuff now, I can say that the plastic, while rigid, is quite thin - I am considering filling my one with plaster to give it some heft and solidity...

Sorry for threadomancy, but I finally managed to get one of the rockets away from The Boy and snapped a scale shot with a Hasslefree figure - I think it looks good!
