Some lovely work in this thread, including models I'd not previously regarded all that highly - very well done in making such a nice and coherent force out them all. I also really like the phoenix, an especially good find I think. :)

I started thinking about your project for some reason today and I wondered if you have seen these antelope riding Amazons coming soon for Godslayer.

Also, Gary Hunt miniatures have these Baboon warriors that might fit in.

Sorry for the (very) late response, PaintsByNumbers -the lion rider figs are Macedonian cavalry riders by Victrix and the lions are from GW high elf chariot kits (you get horses and lions-I used the horses on the chariots and the lions to make this cav unit :)).

Thanks for the tip, TheRedGraf-I will have to take a look at those on the website. They look like they'd fit really well :)

I've made a bit of progress on this army so I'll be posting some more pics soon :)

More centaurs-I built the unit up to ten models and finished a wizard and a hero :) The wizard is a Reaper model and the hero is from Heresy miniatures.

Managed a bit more. Working on some hydra and a unit of 30 hoplites to give my force a bit more resilience and hitting power. All are pretty much prepped for painting and I have 9 hoplites out of 30 painted now. I'll paint the hydra once I get 15 hoplites done to make the ordeal of 30 infantry a bit easier to swallow :) The hydra are by a company called 'Safari'.

Finished the last 3 hoplites of the first 15 + the hydra handlers+ bases -pictured below. These ladies are shepherding terribly dangerous invisible hydras. That's what they tell everyone anyway. I'm not sure if I believe them.

And the Hydras are done. First time using an airbrush (for the underbellies and patterns on scales) but I think they came out okay :)

One of the many things I love about LAF is now and again a thread pops up I've either missed or forgotten about.

Wonderful stuff!
