Some very shiny Franco-Prussian war
« on: November 15, 2016, 01:22:10 PM »
After staring at me for a few months I decided to put them out of there misery ...

And base them up and put flags on them...

Spencer Smith Classic Franco-Prussian War Brunswick Infantry...

Very shiny .... and not that easy to photograph  :?

All the best... Aly

Those are great figures however my policy is to not have figures for the same period in different scales. Now with the new year coming there may be changes in policy.  :)

AKA the 'oh shiny...' syndrome  :)

I keep being tempted by the Franco-Prussian disturbance in 28mm. Fortunately other things catch the eye first but one day.....

Those are nice! I like the "old school" Britons look for the Victorian period.

A few mor photo's

These are my French...
They are mostly on 50mmx50mm bases and are organised as two stands for a regular battalion...one for small, three for large.
The exception is the cavalry, which is three stands for a regular sized unit...it just looks better.
My force is mostly based on troops from the army of Africa at the moment but adding Imperial Guard an anything else I think is pretty  :D
This is my line infantry...
Foreign Legion...three battalions so far
Line Infantry...three battalions also...

Next up some skirmish troops...
I have gone for African Light Infantry instead of Chasseurs...
I also have a battalion of Marine Infantry...
Both are based so that they can shake out into skirmish order...
