Comparison scale AW Miniatures and others - zululand
« on: December 05, 2016, 06:00:21 PM »
I have found AW miniatures on the web , but i 'm not sure of their real scale.
True 25mm, standard 28mm ?

I use Rapier Miniatures and early Foundry as the core troops of my british colonial force.
My zulu are plastics,  mainly Warlord with some Wargame Factory.

Does any one in the audience can show us a pictures about the comparison scale with AW British references and standard 28mm like those i name or even perry s, or something like.

Cheers
Eric

I did some photos a while back :

but I only had Redoubt and Black Tree Design to compare them with. I suspect they will be too large for your taste, but the character figures are lovely sculpts with a lot of personality. I am less enamoured with the Cavalry figs, but the horses are lovely.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

your pictures give me a real idea of the AW' scale. o_o

The chunky look couldn't be fit to the Rapier and early Foundry.... :D

You are welcome, there is nothing more annoying than buying miniatures that turn out incompatible with what you already have. Thank you for your pictures too, I had been wondering about Rapier miniatures. Now I know!

You too, you are welcome.

Rapier are the same scuplt than the afghan range of newline design.
They are cheap and sold as individuals, no pack here.
As in the good old time of Foundry

Cheers
Eric
