Recommendation for 'Zoo'-rules?
« on: November 22, 2016, 08:14:34 PM »
I would like to do some scenario-driven skirmish-gaming in the setting of the near-apocalyptic tv-series flick 'Zoo'.

My eldest daughter is quite taken by the series, and it is sufficiently action-driven to cater for good gaming scenarios

Can anybody recommend a rule set that would cater for all kinds of animals and have the possibility of 'upgrading' them to the mutated super-animals threatening to wipe out humanity? It should also set the frames for 'investigation' types of games, where the characters have to find or figure out clues (something a la Pulp Alley would be good for this, but I am not sure how that would handle the amok-running animals).
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Maybe you should think of 7TV. I think there were some fan stuff in a yahoo-group with animals.

Pick your favorite zombie game, use animal miniatures instead of zombies.
If you want more details make up stats for different animals. Several zombie games have special zombies whose stats could be ported to extra dangerous animals.

Another reason for getting it, I suppose...  ::)

Might work with some tinkering.

Fear and Faith has stats for a zombie bird, dog, housecat, horse and elephant. Mix them with the campaign rules in Mutants with Death Ray Guns and there you go.

I have those rulesets, somewhere  :D

Might have a look at that, they are simple enough for my daughters to get into. Thanks!
