Mobile rapid response vehicle
« on: February 16, 2009, 04:19:14 PM »
Raided my son's vehicle collection.  This was an airport fire engine (low slung and sleek).  Gave it a once over black primer spray and some metallic highlights.  Thought I'd use it for the BioHazard Rapid Response team.  A bit small for scale but given a bit of artistic licence.....

I like that a lot  :)

Remember seeing something similar before - is it from SIKU?

I think they have one in 1/55 which should be spot on scalewise.  If it feels a little small, compared to the figures, try sticking it on a base.

Good idea - may raise it up a bit.

No idea on manufacturer - son had a load of police, fire and ambulance vehicles which I will mostly be cannibalising over the next few weeks.

It's mainly the doors that make vehicles look too small - so why not stick on some new ones (from plasticard perhaps ?).
After all, you do get some low vehicles (admittedly mainly sports cars, but no reason not to have a low biohazard vehicle - maybe it's designed to go into restricted areas (storm drains etc))

Fast lane had some nice Fire trucks that I did the same thing with.
Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...
