Perils of the Colour Blind Painter
« on: February 17, 2009, 12:45:25 PM »
A sad tale;
There once was a young lad who spent a week converting and painting a section of mounted infantry for WWII from Airfix Nap. Cuirassier & WWII German Inf. & Afrika Korps. He proudly took them to the club for the next game - and the reaction was his friends laughing at them.
Apparently they were all riding GREEN horses!!!!!

How could this happen you ask? Well the lad in question was red,green, brown colour blind and used Humbrol enamels. Now they just had coloured caps but no name on the tin so he obviously picked up what he thought was brown but was in fact green.

Citadel Paints may have silly names, but they've stopped him making this kind of mistake again.

Any of you guys colour blind? If so how do you get round it?

The sight of a Humbrol tinlet still takes me back to that day!

Man that sucks :(

I think I am slightly color blind, its only with blues, sometimes I see them as purple.

That would definitely be an interesting sight. Don't mean to be rude, all my brothers are colour-blind. The only thing not wrong with my eyes is that I'm not colour-blind myself o_o.

My only suggestion to you is to make sure you always read the label on the pot before using it, like you already seem to know ;).
Everything is better with lizardmen.
