Happy New Year!! Here's the next bunch of Elves... Really pleased with these. The shields (from my bits box - I think they are Foundry ones from a Dark Ages Norman range if memory serves) are too small for the waterside 'tree' transfers so I opted to go for some Elven script. These will be 'heavy foot' along with some I've already painted ages ago (see last couple of pics along with the elites and hero from the original post). I also enjoyed painting the hero with the hawk, despite the silly moon thing on his helmet!!

Nice! Reminds me of Mike McVey's wood elves from back in the late 80s / early 90s.
Adventures? Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!

Thank you so much!! That Mike McVey army is the inspiration for this force I'm doing!! You've made my day with that one!  :D :D

FANTASTIC! Your Pointy Eared Woodland Fellows look even more WONDERFUL than memory would have them. It is rare to have reality appear better than nostalgia. Your creations are BEAUTIFULLY painted & based. I love what you have done with their shields. VERY WELL DONE!

Fantastic, I simply love those old wood elf sculpts.

In fact the hero with the hawk is one of my all time favourites.

I remember in the old citadel catalogues, he was part of the 'wood elf command' range... There were four leader / heros, including one with a sword and no helmet, who looked like the same sculpt with different hands and head. I have never seen that one painted, only in a black and white catalogue photo. Don't suppose you have him on the workbench as well?

I painted a few from this range too, see here

Ref that model you mention - I actually bought one on EBAY earlier today! First time I'd seen one. He wasn't cheap, though!!!

I like the colour scheme on your models. Different and works very well.
