Age of Independence. An AoR campaign.
« on: October 26, 2016, 09:50:41 PM »
Inspired by Olicanalads's "Bohemian Blitzkrieg" I'm beginning an AWI confrontation using the Sport of Kings campaign rules.

Spring 1775

Charlestown, british victory, americans surrender, british conquer southern colonies.

Philadelphia, draw, british muster for a second attack.

Lexington, british victory, New England conquered

Merion Meeting, draw, british retreat to the Ohio Valley

Summer 1775

Kanavagan, draw, Washington's attack on the Ohio valley is bloodily repulsed, americans rally for a second try

Kanavagan II, british victory, Washington retreats from the Ohio Valley without an army

Cambell, british victory, the americans lose Philadelphia and sign the Treaty of Cambell, an armistice until winter 1776.

Peacetime
Winter 1775-Summer 1776, the british conquer all the neutral lands of India and strengthen the Caribbean garrisons and the blockade fleet, the americans just recruit a batallion in their capital.

Winter 1776

Delaware: The americans are soundly routed and sign another peace treaty. France comes into the war in 1778 but the american player is fed up with losing and when he discovers that the british'll recruit more units in spring 1778 he gives up.

So the campaign ends in a british victory by default.

Plenty of photos and having the battles linked in a campaign adds an extra level of interest. Thanks for sharing.

Battle at Lexington: americans defeated despite the epic efforts of a minutemen batallion  that not only kept the british at bay and secured the supplies for the whole battle but even escaped south after the debacle to fight another day.

Yeah, I guess that rebelion doesn't pay  :?
Their best hope now are the spanish concentrating their entire army in Louisiana and getting the southern colonies from there

The americans lose Philadelphia and sign the treaty of Cambell, making peace with the british until winter 1776. Albeit a rebel defeat it's the first time a british batallion has routed  :'( so it's kinda a remarkable battle just for that.

Campaign movements during peace time see the british extend their dominion over India and at the end of the Treaty, king George III leds his army against the rebel capital.

End of the campaign: after being defeated the american player discovers that he recruits less batallions per turn even with France in the war and just gives up. A pox on all map campaigns >:(!
