The shipwreck arrived yesterday very well packed, each third in a box, inside a large box.  It arrived 9-22-2016, from "Dr. Foster & Smith" for the cost of $63.74, including state tax (Illinois) and free 5-7 day shipping.  My wife had previously ordered from them (actual pet supplies) on-line, so the big box arrived addressed to her.  She opened it before I was home and worked out that it wasn't an anniversary gift from her loving husband.  That was a long explanation.

The (large) shipwreck is really big and will occupy a large section of table.  It does have a good look out of the box.  The aquarium that this piece is designed to fit into must be big enough for a dentist's office or perhaps a seafood restaurant.  To give you an idea of size, this model set out with minimal spacing between the three segments, is a little larger than the Old Glory OGP-39 Pirate Hunter ship model.  The three segments, nearly touching, yield an overall length of approximately 34 inches, from the muzzle of the golden horsehead figurehead, to the rear edge of the stern castle.

Since I am a historical player (FIW, ACW, Pirates, Ironclads, Viking/Saxon/Normans, some ancients) this is an extraordinary game item for me  One must remember that this model is a bit "cartoonish."  The scale is fairly good for 28mm figures.  The scenario (Pirates) to involve this model will need some creative elements to rationalize a wrecked ship of this size and a wink here and there.  But after all, we are playing games.

Thanks again to Salibaba for telling us about this piece of aquarium décor and his photos with figures.  I am happily thinking about scenarios to include it in a game.  Maybe a frogman/scuba diving game?  Who makes those figures?

For modern stuff, Reaper miniatures has several scuba divers: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/scuba

For a more fantastical take, Antimatter Games' Deep Wars should have everything you need: http://antimatter-games.com/games/deepwars/

Just to follow up, we played our Mordheim campaign this weekend.

Ironically, I didn't even end up using the big ship in any of the games!

In any case, here are some pics.

I'll post it on the Fantasy board too.

Great stuff - wonderful Lustrian setting! :-*

Mordheim is such a cool game, for me the best games workshop ever made. Maybe like blood bowl, they would re-release it.

I keep contemplating grabbing the wreck and a few others for a graveyard of ships board with crisscrossing platforms...could be used in a lot of different games, though I'd probably limit it to a 2x2 or 3x3 board....

I saw the full wreck and immediately thought it'd make a cool quasi-fantasy fortress.  Add some towers, walls, a crap ton of planks/scaffolding.  I don't suppose it can be waterlined very easily though.

It would be perfect for a particular Frostgrave scenario. Just imagine it in a frozen river...

Some interesting ideas.

The MMORPG Pirate101 has a port built entirely out of wrecked ships cobbled together:

I completely agree about Mordheim - great game.

I'm replying so I can find where to get this at $65, I have seen single pieces of this for almost that amount.

Warchariot, here is where Neotacha ordered mine:

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19758

Good price, well packaged, and she said they sent it promptly.  But they spammed her like crazy with emails wanting her to buy more stuff afterwards, she said.
