Very nice, Scratchbuilt or a kit? :)

Nice job!

Is that a rawlplug you've used for the gun mount? Exellent idea.  :)

A new U-Boat on the LAF, like a new baby, is always a joyous moment. We should have a gallery page with everybody's U-Boats in it.

Just a friendly suggestion (as you did ask for advice), but I reckon a baby as big as that needs a proper deck gun in addition to the Ack-Ack on the Wintergarten. She looks kind of undressed without one.  :)

I wasn’t sure about adding a deck gun. The sub is for use in a pulp game and the guys I play with are all gun happy. Always trying to get the biggest and baddist gun out there. Even when the scenario I have made up calls for a lot of brain power they still complain when their character hasn’t got a SMG.
One of the last games I ran there was an elephant gun strategically placed for an encounter with a Stegosaurs but they ended up fighting over the elephant gun instead.
If there was a big gun on the sub it would be a mad rush to see who would be the first to fire it.
Even with the smaller 20 mm I think I will have to limit the amount of ammo or it will take over the game.
I also based the sub on a type II shore boat and they did not seem to have a large deck gun. In fact most of the pictures I found the sub didn’t have any gun at all.
I found one reference quoting a 20 mm AA gun so that is what I built. But it is only going to be pinned in place and movable between the conning tower and the deck. Leaving space for a HUGE BIG DECK GUN. :D
It is a pulp sub so there will be a large deck gun at a later stage, to keep all the big gun nuts happy. :D
But I am not making any torpedoes. lol

Good point about the Type II. Your boat looks like a massive sub in comparison to other gaming ones, but in reality it is representing something of a tiddler, isn't it.  :)

But come on, if you can make that, you gotta make some fish...

(Just watch your players fighting over these, and trying to launch them at a T-Rex!)

And a submerged version...

Taken from this topic, nowhere near as impressive as yours, as my boat was a kit:

Seen your great (wee  lol) one before that is what inspired me to try my hand at my own.
I think I can blame you for a lot of other ideas I have. Tramp steamers etc

Very very nice!

Now you have to do a second set of crew, this time in tropical uniform (shorts etc)'
You know, you don't know where your pulp adventures will be played!

Excellent job - hard to believe it's scratchbuilt until the last pic.
