How much does it cost to stay there, its awesome

Price cost per stay is as much as it costs to build! ;)

Plastic card decking £1
A3 Foamed pvc sheet £4
Wee bit Green stuff £1
Guitar string £1
Plastic rod and pipe £5
Mouth wash one bottle cap came from £1.50
2x Shaving foam bottle caps £6
Solder (borrowed from work! ;))
Kinder Egg £0.50

Total £20......hey, I'm cheaper than Travelodge! :D

The mixed emotions that I experience when I see a new AndyM build.  Mostly pleasurable, not ALL envy.

It really will be quite beautiful suspended alongside your other buildings, like a floating staircase or similar.

Thanks mate! Either that or a bloody big heavy object for people to knock over! :'(

Not a lot I can add ,just enjoying the whole build.
Mark.

Thanks Mark! That means a LOT. I've sat in awe of your model building skills for AGES! I love what you can do with card!

I couldn't really imagine a project so cool :o.
Worst thing (best thing? ::)) is that you open so many possibilities! Inspiring job!

This has been a treat to watch come together!

Your skill with plastic card and putty is enviable, and I can't wait to see what this thing looks like finished and painted.

Thanks very much guys!

Well that's the build finished! I'll not post pictures and instead, I'll leave them to the competition time. Now on to painting.....

I would just like to say thanks for all the encouragement during the build! You've all really helped! And good luck to all the rest of the participants! There's some amazing entries out there already!

Top notch build, no doubt about it.

EDIT: Having seen the final painted product... wow. It looks like movie prop material. Perfect.

Just found this whole contest/thread and i am blown away by this fantastic model!  :o
Although sci-fi has infinate possibilities we mostly seem to follow well trodden paths for our collections. Wether standard military such 40K,Hammers Slammers, Halo etc or Mega cities such as Judge Dredd, Blade runner, its not often that we do something completely different.
This is different and i love it!

Thanks to everyone who voted for me!

Here's the pics of the final build......

Before a coat of paint.....

And after. I initially tried to prints off a back ground and do a city set-up scene......

.....but I didn't like the look of it! I think the model was too big and I'd have needed a lot more scenery and a bigger set up to get some decent! So I just went with a black sheet as a backdrop.....

Sorry for all the pics!
