Svennns BSC 2017 entry: A moth to a flame Tiny update 23rd

All I can say so far is I have been having a whale of a time carving a bit of blue foam

Thread title refers to the high possibility of me burning this before I finish in frustration ;D

I, too, am intrigued. Carving syrooam, extruded or not, is no fun. I expect that I'll be doing to be doing that to.

Naughty, naughty me :) I shall consider myself chastised and wrist slapped and unless you are going to eject me shall await the 8th to continue. In my defence I can see you included "The official start date is 09:00 GMT Sun 8th Jan " but where does it state you cannot start beforehand?  :D ;D :D ;D ;D

Anyway, when have I ever followed "official" anything? ::)

Intriguing.

Any chance it's a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy....?

Anyone want to build a bowl of petunias and submit it for the contest?

Falling is close enough to flying, isn't it? If flying is just falling with style, well, it's close enough...

With all the great work on display so far I am a little embarrassed to show my scruffy meagre offerings but I have made some progress. All be it in sporadic ten minutes here and twenty minutes there sessions. Some very fiddly bits up next but I should still finish the build and give me chance to paint it in time, here's hoping anyway.

I made a wing

and a variety of other bits which will show at least some of you what the end goal is

I like what I see.
Not entirely sure exactly what it is yet, but I like it nonetheless.

I know that feeling, but you have done more than me so far.

I recognise that! I'm I allowed to say? I think it's from one of those films I REALLY like but struggle to find on Netflix or Showbox!
