Vampifan, while waiting for your next AAR (and for your BAIACOTA mini to arrive in my hands so that I can ship it to you), I am planning a GW Valten conversion as one of the greatest vampire killers of all time: Ozzy Osbourne!  

(you know that he decapitated a vampire in bat form with his own teeth while being attacked on stage in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1982, don't you?)

Yes, I am well aware of that bat eating incident!

Here is part 07 of my JDMG campaign, which I was most fortunate to game with noted sculptor, Dave Stone, who runs Wargames Terrain Workshop. Naturally, he wanted to play Judge Stone!


Set up at the start of the game with the suspects represented by dice until they could be positively identified.

WOW, that was fast and furious!  

Vampifan, I liked very much the way you set the terrain in a small area, with a simple yet visually attractive layout and elements that would enable a tactical game - I recognize the Battle Systems mat, but who makes the walls?

I also liked the way one scenario leads to another in a smooth and entertaining campaign, a thing that IMHO is becoming rare in LAF threads these days, CONGRATULATIONS! As always, looking forward to the next episode!  

But I think that story really missed a feminine element - I'm pretty sure any of your "J-Chicks" would be able to connect the dots and figure out the entire criminal plot in no time!  

Regarding Ozzy The Vampire Killer, it would be a really simple conversion: just put some glasses and belts, and turn one hammer into a big cross and the other to a stake, pretty much like the McFarlane Action Figure of him! He will be with his daughter Kelly the Slayerette (the Zombicide Amy figure).  

I am planning to use them as part of a series of "Vampire Slayers Celebrities" in a Gothic Horror/Comedy big multiplayer game to celebrate my comeback to painting and scratchbuilding terrain as soon as I take that damn orange plastic cast off my right hand! (I'm recovering from another hand surgery right now)    PLEASE CONSIDER YOURSELF INVITED! The game will be a strictly historic reenactment of the 1889 WORLD VAMPIRE SLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP!

Another delightful comment from my biggest fan!  

All of the walls are from the Battle Systems Urban Apocalypse sets. They are a mixture of the interior walls you get - very handy for... erm, interiors!  

The campaign is becoming more focussed now, which was always my plan from the start.

There will be more female Judges next time. I'm thinking of partnering Devereux and Huntsman together. It just makes sense! I know - you were hoping they'd team up!  

Many thanks for the tips on making an Ozzy vampire slayer. Using Amy as Kelly is a good idea but I like my Amy as is, so I probably won't be copying you.

The mind boggles at what you could come up with for Sharon!  

Oh, I SO want to take part in the 1889 WORLD VAMPIRE SLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP!

I have yet to see the new "Wonder Woman" film, but I thoroughly enjoyed her performance in "Batman vs Superman".

If you're afraid to fly to a remote pirate island hideout across the ocean, just wait until our planned trip to UK in 2019!  (Since our game here will take place a good 6 hours drive away from where we live, I am planning a portable scenery anyway!  )

I have yet to see the new "Wonder Woman" film, but I thoroughly enjoyed her performance in "Batman vs Superman".  

In "Batman vs. Superman" she does in 15min what that pair of dickheads didn't managed to do in 2 hours! 

We saw her movie yesterday (in our country, it premiered one day before the US and most of the rest of the world) and I am still SPEECHLESS!!! 

BTW: the GF is sending you a kiss, and telling you that she would positively absolutely do Vampirella and Gal Gadot together anytime!

Another one for the record books.  The background looksed really sharp with all of the models set up.  I think your special effects are getting even better.  The grenade flash looked great and the sound effects are perfect.

Much appreciated, HP. I forgot to use my card explosion template in the game so I added the explosion effect when I was editing the photos with an imported explosion PNG picture.

I'd file that under happy accident.  It matched the comic aesthetic perfectly.
