Sorry, posted that before I was finished.  Here is the fellow I actually started out looking for:

All three of these figures are Chronoscope figures. In order of the pictures they are:
    Victorian Lord & Dame
    Benedict Baker
    Abraham Van Helsing, Vampire Hunter

-Michael

Personally, out of your three choices, I would go for Abraham Van Helsing. But it also crossed my mind that you might as well go for Reverend Grimm from Reapers Savage Worlds https://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/grim/latest/59001.

"The Shadow knows!!! Hahahahaha!"

I had forgotten about him.  He will work as well, thanks.

Great Escape Games has a non-armed preacher figure.

I recently finished the Lava Men from Caverns of Cynder and the Mine Doorways from the Doorways into Darkness set. Next will be the Other World Portals.

Your Lavamen look very metallic. I'm not sure if that was your intention but it sure is very innovative. The Doorways into Darkness set is one I haven't bought yet. It's not a high up on my shopping list, even though they are very well sculpted. Your paint jobs are simple but effective.

I've no idea what a lavaman should look like but these certainly look like they have lava inside them

Look pretty good to me. When are we going to get a story? You know that's the only reason I look at your posts. lol lol

Thanks Vampifan. No, that was definitely not the intention, and I was a bit worried that the black drybrushing had been too heavy, but they turned out alright for the short time I spent on them. Quite pleased with the Doorways actually, they look very nice on the table.

When playing Shadows of Brimstone, it's too much going on to reliably having time to take pictures etc and we have limited time to play at the club  :(.

BUT... I've been thinking of giving Fear and Faith (Ganesha Games) a go, which is a horror themed game, so there might be a little batrep featuring an Elvis impersonator, a Goth barmaid, a few vampires, innocent bystanders and a roadhouse after dusk coming up this week  lol!! I will send you a message when/ if it all goes ahead.

The Lava Men look good!  I only have one done - I find them a bit tedious to paint.   Looking forward to more pictures.

I know what you are saying, but maybe my approach could help somewhat. Dark red undercoat spray, painted ALL of the mini (except for the Cyclopean eye) in Bright Orange, then heavy black drybrush to bring out the black bits. Quick and simple paintjob.

That is a lot simpler that what I have been doing, but the effect is very similar.  I generally prime in black, so that is what I did this time. So I drybrushed some dark gray on the bumps, and then painted in red then some orange and a tad of yellow in all those little paths between the black bumps...  Next time, I'm doing your way!

I wonder how these lava men would look next to the lava men from Heroscape.
