Awesome thread - has tipped me over the edge in getting AOW core set and maybe one booster for solo play.

The barn is done and I made a multi purpose grass board to locate it on for the time being.  Here are two finished teasers; More to follow when I get the blog report together.

Excellent barn. I love the doors are separate and you can add the door brace or not. The action shot look nice as well.

Thanks everyone!  I was really happy with the project.  It's easily the largest scratch built piece I have ever done so it ended up being a ways outside of my "normal"/comfort zone.  It's definitely encouraged me to try more larger scale projects in the future but storage issues could become prohibitive.  For the TWD project I will probably travel further back in the continuity and try to play some of the scenarios relating to the Atlanta group.  On the bench are my next wave of figures.  Between the walkers and survivors I think it's just under 20 so a comparable number to the ones I have already painted.  If I can get them completed in the next little while I want to put together some small pieces and build the camp site on the Atlanta outskirts.

About the doors :( .  My small scale model building experience was zero but I've done a some rough carpentry and framing.  Much of the balsa build came from that.  Unfortunately I forgot a very important lesson learned about the hassle of hanging double doors.  This normally isn't so bad but involves some fiddling and minute adjustments to the doors on their hinges to get the doors swinging cleanly but trying to contort my clunky fingers and exert median pressure (enough to sink prospective hinges but not so much to make the built barn explode into shards in my grasp  :'() was a proposition I abandoned.  The free styanding doors was the best compromise I could come up with late in the build.  Next time I do something similar I willl build the doors in a frame independent of the rest of the construction then inset them into the wall prebuilt.

The build is excellent. I admire the work you have put into this barn. Keep up the good work.
I should be painting right now.

Survivors Donnie and Reggie are ready for action!  Well maybe not; Especially Donna.  She is like terrible twins with Liam :) .
