Lately I came across a good collection of Cheyenne ledger drawings and I have been selecting some that show Crow warriors. Here you have :)

Note the typical Crow features: the pompadour and the switch at the back, the patches on the leggings, stripped loincloths, red warpaint...

Hi! Here is the Pawnee warchief, based on Petalesharo II. This is the last Pawnee figures, I only have to finish some extra bits and then they will be finished :)

Btw, a glance of things to come:

Absolutely awesome collection you have put together here.  :-*

I think what I find striking is not just all the detail you put onto your minis (which it certainly is), but the faces and the musculature of the minis just yell realistic!

Hi Clearco
I've watched your range closely and it is in good place in my order agenda, just that I have other periods to finish first.
Now it appears that your first crow references are out of stock. What I need to know is this: is it for a short delay and your ranges will stay available, or do you intend to produce references for just a short period of availability and then over?
First option and you get me as a future customer, second and well very good work but I'll pass my way.
We have to consider the consequences of Brexit for the miniatures availability in Europe and therefore I'm ready to second your very promising project. But it has to be one, professionally.
Your choices will be sound related to your situation, I understand that, but just may or may not suite me.
Anyway best wishes as you deserve it. Great job.
Philippe

Thank you a lot for the nice comments!
Lakota???
Cheyenne ;-)

@Pallard: don't worry, they are out of stock because I didn't expect to sell all of them so quickly but I plan to restock them at the same time I release the Pawnee. It is going a bit slow right now because I'm under a lot of pressure at work and can't really fully focus on my miniatures but after all the work I have done on them I want to make sure that many people can enjoy my "creations" :-)

A picture of the completed Pawnee, btw:

OK Clearco
Nice to hear that! you can take your time, I have a long distance project... as this is indeed an opening to a longing one. I have the very nice Gringo 40 Texas militiamen, Seminoles from A Hundred Nations and Blackfoot warriors from the Perrys. And I have two great skirmish rule sets for the period: one by Chris Peers for tribal warfare on the plains, and the old but still unequaled Western Skirmish Rules. Your figures will open up the full scope of Indian trails back from the giants screens of my youth  ;D.

Great!
I too have "War on The Plains", I think it's great :) "The Rules with no Name" also offer the possibility of playing with native warbands and that's a really nice set of rules.

I show you some more painted examples:

Thank you!

I had forgotten to show you these:

Most Pawnee warrior societies didn't differ in terms of clothing or other regalia from the bulk of warriors, or hadn't any specific regalia associated with them...except for lances!

These are the lances of some of the main Pawnee warrior societies that were active in war:

-Left: BRAVE RAVEN society, whose members lead in hunt and in the line of battle.

-Middle: FIGHTING LANCE society. That was a war society comprised of many chiefs and warriors.
*This lance is almost identical with the Skidi RED SOCIETY lance (that had four clusters of feather along the shaft instead of three) and could also be used as that. Members of this society were called to lead in war and for act as police in battle.
*Removing the spear point and the two longer feather, it could represent the BLACK HEADS society lance. They acted as a sort of police in the line of battle and painted their faces white. They wore a tuft of crow feathers.

-Right: KNIFE LANCE, whose members were also active in the line of battle.

These will be available as an accesoires pack along with the rest of the Pawnee
