WW1 in Africa (and more)
« on: February 22, 2009, 12:44:42 AM »
I just found the following forum for WW1
I suspect it is a Flemisch Belgian site, but has lots of topics in English and German, too.

Of particular interest are the photos!
I do not know whether someone else has posted it previously, but it sounds interesting.

There are topics on various aspects of WW1, including the colonial adventures in the whole world!
Here is the link   to WW1 in Africa:

Correction:

It should be Dutch and not Belgian!
(I have limited knowledge for these languages, sorry if I mix them!)

Thanks Arg,

There are some photos on the link that I've not seen before. Of note is the town of Tanga and the significant damage by naval an other fire.

This will provide some additional inspiration for folks who have a keen interest in GEA.

Thanks again,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

The pictures are great.  I especially like the unit mounted on Donkeys/mules.
