Thx guys. These nice words keep me motivated.
So Sietch Tabr is done and all desert terrain too. The worm is left. On Saturday we do another test game:

In 2 weeks is the Hamburger Tactica and if anyone shows in, say hello.

If you don't have a worm mini as of yet and want something impressive, look up DM Scotty's purple worm build. It's not that hard to make and is often jaw dropping when it pops up on the table. You might need a variant maw to design for it, but it's something that draws a lot of attention.

Again thx for the nice word. Really appreciated.
Today i worked on the sandworm The Revell-model has one big disadvantage: the sandworm has no throat.
So i cut a cone from blister package and modeled with green stuff a throat in rings from bottom to top.

Needed some time one ring by the next one. A try-on. Suits

Today i modelled the second to last ring and put on some sharpened toothpicks as tooths.

Again a small try-on.

I think, i will widden out the opening a little bit, then glue the throat in. After this i will model the last ring from top and add some more tooths. Thinking about putting some more tooths into the mouth. May fit to the size of the model i will use it in.
The model i used for reference is this one.

But this is for a totally different size i using.

Addenum: Worked on the base with the sandwave. Not bad, i think.

Progress on the sandworm.
Precoloured the throat, because it may happen, that i may not reach the inside of the throat, after i glued it into postion:

Put some green stuff on the transition between throat and mouth and added more tooths:

Yesterday, i added more tooths and painted a thin coat in the inside ouf the mouth:
Pic here later.
8 days till the Hamburger Tactica.

Good idea, I bet it would have been a right pain to paint down the throat otherwise. It's shaping up to be a mean looking beastie.
