silly quick question ViDe FW

Looks like you can do a hide action even in open terrain. I have no problem with abstractions but I just want to know if I'm reading this right :)

Absolutely! You are reading all right.
I know it is sometimes a bit of a stretch, but as you said - an abstraction of the combatant to use every bit of scenery to conceal himself and "vanish".
