Observation Balloon
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:39:11 AM »

I'm making a Union Observation Balloon set for our ACW Display game this year. The Balloon was £3.99 from a gift shop; the wagon is a Models of Yesteryear repaint; the driver is from Redoubt, with a Dixon head; the horses and standing figures are also from Dixon.

Aww, now that´s real pretty! I was unsure about the bent support strut, but it is perfectly balanced with the addition of the wagon on the base!

Excellent work. Chapeau, Sir.

That's nice!! It'll be a unique additiion to an ACW game. Well done, sir.

Very nice!

Could be used also for the VSF!

Indeed you do! By the way, Nick, they had a similar one in Post Office Livery when I popped in last week. Interested?

Cool idea!
i've been thinking about adding a baloon unit to my ACW collection, I like the way you've done it.

As well as VSF you could use it for Napoleon in Egypt! Damn - that's three baloons to make!
