Question on Perry WotR Mercenaries
« on: January 17, 2017, 11:18:36 PM »
Hey all,

I recently ordered a couple boxes of Perry plastic War of the Roses mercenaries and was wondering if it possible to assemble the entire box without using the handgunner parts.

Thanks,

-Eli

Off the top of my head, yes, I think you can assemble the whole box as a mix of pikemen and crossbowmen.

Yeah I really am not looking for handgunners at this time.

Thanks,

I don't think you'll quite make it.  There are 6 pikes and 4 crossbows on a 12 body sprue.

I imagine someone might be able to send you a few extra parts.  Where are you located?

I'm in Washington state in the U.S.

Let me see what I end up needing. I have wire spears and some extra arms from other sprues.

You can almost make it : as Aphilathehun said, there are enough arms to assemble four crossbowmen and six pikemen out of each twelve-figure sprue. But if you add arms from the two command sprues (say two drummers and two men-at-arms sword arm pairs), that's 34 out of 36 figures that won't be hand gunners.
