My German Winter Army (Picture Heavy)

Hi all,

I am now finally able to show you all my completed second Group of an ongoing commission which will work towards a big Warlord Bolt Action German Winter Army   There are more Troops, Artillery, Tanks and Armoured Vehicles still to come

This was an test piece for another commission further down the line which will include painting a lot of Grenadiers in Zeltbahn and Camouflage. I quite like the way it turned out.

This is a normal late War German Heer 81mm Mortar Team that I converted before the new Winter Team was released. I also used an additional Member from the 120mm Heavy Mortar Team. I sculpted hoods and changed the tunics slightly to make them look like Anoraks. They also received some spare heads from the Winter range.

We are absolutely in the same boat Sascha - I've just started doing AFVs again, 30+ years after I built my last Tamiya tank!  
And I have to say, it's terrifically enjoyable work!

...  What's your preferred way of doing the snow? - it looks fantastic.

I use a mix of PVA glue & Army Painter Snow and sprinkle some loose Snow on top before it dries.  I hope that helps
