That's a work of art!  :-* 8) :o

Indeed it is.
Lovely work.

It is from the GW Silver Tower game.
Mordheim-inspired, no doubt.
A wonderful little creation!

You are correct, Silver tower. All the familiars from that box are just lovely. They ooze character.
And I believe it was directly taken from apiece by Ian Miller

This is a perfect example of Blanchitsu. I love how the skin tone contrasts with the darker parts.

Some wonderful stuff. I particularly like Sir Brian and the Sister of Silence conversion.

I really don't like the AoS aesthetic as done by the GW studio. It looks like a particularly cheesy 80s hair metal album cover, but the Blanchitsu AoS28 guys (and I'm including your work on that as it has a similar sensibility) has made me think again about the AoS setting. In the way you and others have done it I am reminded of things like the Dark Souls computer games. Perverse but also heroic. A world turned upside on its own head. It all makes sense now!

It's funny you should mention dark souls.I don't play any computer games, But i watch alot of dark souls play through because it's great visual inspiration.
I'd say give it a try, One thing worth remembering is that while a huge setting of vast realms might seem too much for your warband, It just means you can create your own corner and forge your own mythology alongside the main one. I recently picked up the skirmish rulebook and it has some fluff about an ancient haunted city in the desert, Built over a canyon of psychic glass containing the trapped souls of ancient deathless mysics. It's stuff like this that gives you the chance to have a smaller, darker story-line running just below the shiny surface.

So as you may know from my recent future wars posts,I;ve been a bit busy trying to get the Dark imperium boxed set ready for release day.
This has meant taking home trays of space marines and sitting weary eyed in front of a podcast whilst edge highlighting all those big armour plates.
It's been fun, But god i want to convert something!!

Luckily the new boxed set has a big swarm of beautiful nurgle zombies, And it just so happens I've always wanted a nurgle warband.....

So , HEre we have the start of something...And I;m pretty sure the first converted model from the new starter set.

I like the idea that this chap is an empire greatsword that hasn't quite realised he's a walking corpse.

The Sisters of Silence conversion is awesome  ;D :o

Without your description I would never have believed that Perry knight parts wil fit so well to a recent 40k (or 30k) miniature.

Now that I am infected I really think about to do something like this myself.

Thanks for sharing,   cheers Thomas
These days it's Wargods and Warhammer Armies Project I am working on !

Cracking stuff - I'm just getting into AOS28 myself and feeling positively refreshed by the whole thing after not really having touched GW for years now.

It's well worth it! with hinterlands and AoS skirmish you can run some really fun narrative games with 3 miniatures. This is GW really embracing the old school fun of fantasy gaming.

I painted up my pox walker conversion tonight. All done with washes and a few strokes of pale flesh to build depth.
