Cooking Pots
« on: January 30, 2017, 03:22:15 PM »
Yes it may seem insignificant, but an army marches on it's stomach bla blah :)

I am wanting to add some diorama elements to my AZW camp and am looking for pots to go over a fire,  preferably suspended on a tripod of sorts- any recommendations ?

Also a pointer on who does well sculpted sacks, both singles and small stacks  ?

thanks..

Stronghold terrain I just recently finished their water well and a set of crates from them. Very nicely sculpted and cast.

Micro Art Studio does some 'Warehouse Piles Boxed' which I can also recommend.

Many thanks for above recommendations, I will hopefully post up my painted choices reasonably soon.

(really I am looking for an excuse to delay painting a few hundred zulus  8) )

Here's one in use on the Intombe River, with a few hundred Zulus and one lonely sentry...

Lovely camp, which poses my other dilemma.

Tents ...should I go...

individually on a round base
individually on a rectangular base
4 on a rectangular base  ???
etc
hmmm

I went for (mainly) round on round bases and others on rectangular, for maximum flexibility. I've also bought some useful stuff on eBay from mrelliotski, including a very nice field kitchen and some collapsed bell tents.

Doesn't Old Glory do a cook pot, complete with "stew"? ie. Benny "Beef" Stewart, explorer (never seen again.)
