I’ve never bothered with a hobby thread before, mostly due to my lack of photographic skills and facilities, but also down to my lack of ability to focus on any one project. However, after picking up Deadzone 2.0 and Rogue Stars, and realising that the minis’ can be used for both systems, I am inspired. Furthermore, as I’m planning to work on my pile of Sci-Fi minis, I’ve decided to dust off my Rogue Trader aspirations as well, combining it all into one glorious (ignominious?) project. With all that in mind, I have decided to chart my trials and tribulations here for your viewing pleasure (or disgust) in an effort to keep me motivated and on track. Kind comments are welcomed, even if they are lies, for I am shallow and fickle and in need of constant affirmation.

So, here goes; I present to you some slightly converted Space Hulk 2nd Edition Terminators in Deathwing livery. They will be used in a long planned Rogue Trader campaign, but could also double up as space cops or mech suited miners or something in Rogue Stars. Sorry for picture quality, this were taken on a phone camera, something I hope to remedy in future.

A closer shot, so you can marvel at my painting skills, or recoil in disgust.

Hehehe, no reason at all to recoil, they look good to me. I actually prefer a darker bone color for Deathwing, like you've used.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Thanks. The darker colour is what I'm used to as well, I prefer the warmer colours to the bone white some people paint them.

A Dark Angel Tactical Squad that will be called in to defend and outpost in my planned campaign. I'm hoping to tinker with their stat line to make them more like the Marines in the fluff, with one squad of Marines fighting hundreds of enemy cultists. I don't have hundreds of cultists, I have about 35, but I plan to have dead models recycled in reinforcement waves, with the Marines holding back the enemy long enough for a squad of Arbites to escort some civilians off table.

A closer view. Sorry, but the Dark Angel armour seems to eat light.

And the final member of my Dark Angel force, a Snipety Snipe Snipe who is exceedingly good a sniping. He's called Captain Snipe, cos' 40k don't need no subtlety!

I like where this thread is going. The scenery in the pictures, is it Mantic urban? I'm strongly considering blowing my PayPal funds on their stuff.
Paraquat Welcomes Careful Drivers a sort of narrative blog.

Slag Valley Bullett in the grim darkness of the far future, there is a newspaper.

Mantic Battlezone, yes. I like the stuff; covers a table at a reasonable price and you can do as little or as much as you want to it. I've seen some amazing tables done with the stuff. I even played a game of Deadzone where some guy had built the interior of a sci-fi gentlemen's club, complete with stage and pole.

I don't suppose you have any pics of it?
