I'd like to see more civilians in a sword & sandal / swords & sorcery style. Specifically, figures that look a bit more fanciful than the historical civilians that some companies sell. Most of those look rather drab - which is not a bad thing for filling out market scenes and such, but there's a lack of "interesting personalities", eg. rich nobles in elaborate robes, concubines in exotic dress, eunuchs, crazy old soothsayers (the sort that look like they're about to start spouting some gibberish about "bewaring the ides of March" or something such), Hindu priests and so on. They don't have to look historically accurate, but rather should emulate the aesthetics of all those old sword & sandal flicks.

I'd also like to see more figures, civilian or otherwise, of south-east Asians. Like the ones carved all over the walls of Angkor Wat. There's very little of this kind of figures around, and most of what exists is rather crudely sculpted. I think it's definitely a gap in the miniatures' market.

1) an Atrifact or McGuffin blister pack.  The old Call of Cthulhu range often had a little nicknack in their monster blisters.  It would be nice just to have a pack with just those.  A weird idol or two, crate with a tentacle, stone/gold tablets; maybe even a suitcase with the holy grail in it.
2) More lovecraftian critters.  Some home brew Great Old Ones would be nice.  The packs could also include a idol version of the critter.
3) Pulp Era and Golden age Costumed Heroes.  We've already seen the amazing WWII Capt and Bucky figures on this board.  How about some more heroes and costumed avengers from the interwar years.  A modified version of the supersystem rules would be perfect for this.

Hungarian for WWII (wonder if the Turks from Woodbine Design with German Helmet heads would fit?),

End of the 19th Century Infantry and Cavalry in full dress (for all the major powers ;)),

Early 20th Century French Gendarmes with their short cape (the "hirondelles"),

Grey Aliens like the ones by Copplestone but with more variety in the poses,

Early 60’s US soldiers (something a little like the plastic Army Men).
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

All very good ideas, guys. Do keep them coming.

The Hungarians are a near and dear subject to my heart, Cal. I'm currently finishing a book on the subject (well, a supplement for a wargame), and several of my family served in the army.

The best option at the moment, since nobody seems to make Honved in 28mm, is to go with Austro-Hungarian troops, preferably clean of facial hair. I have found, for example, that the Battle Honors WW1 Austrians in Carpathian Cap do very nicely. If you can get them in the helmet, you want the "duck billed" style. Lon over at Brigade has some nice looking Austrians in his inventory, too.
Again, skip the handlebar moustache types if you can.

It's also possible to get a decent approximation using WW1 Germans, but the Hungarian uniform and cut is almost identical to that of the WW1 Austro-Hungarian uniform; the major difference is that the WW2 uniform was supposed to be worn with gaiters, though you do see troops wearing leg wraps from time to time, too.

But who knows.. their absence may change...

Ex-Foreign Legion in Indochina (mix of uniform and civilian clothes)
Dutch Plantation Owner and Overseers
"Exotic" Femme Fatales
Degenerate Lost Culture types (jungle men, mole men, atlanteans, etc.)
Indian nationalists
20th cent. Central Asian warlords
Siberian guides
Mongol/Tibetan bearers
Aussie adventurers
American safari party (men and women, think Hemingway)
Upper crust English in Kenya
1920's Eastern European (i.e. Russian/Slav/Turkish) agent/adventurers
Ukrainian separatists/bandits

(and I'm sure Lon at Brigade has some of these!)

The full range of Hanna-Barbera adventure figures (+ villains).

Jonny Quest, Herculoids, Mighty Mightor, Birdman and so on...

Hear, Hear! We say "yes!" to a range of Jonny Quest-inspired figures (and/or a range of Venture Brothers-inspired figures...).

I was also thinking that a range of WWII Jack Kirby Newsboy Legion-inspired rag-tag deadend kids with weapons wouldn't go amiss...!

I would also love to see some natives. Maybe Maori or North American Indians?
Old Glory Miniatures makes a Maori Wars range.

Wargames Foundry makes some very nice looking Native Americans.  I don't know of anyone who makes Aztecs though, which is what I'd like to see.

Maori Wars stuff might work, although it is over 80 years in the past by the time you hit the pulp era. One way you could do a lot of generic loin-clothed warriors would be to have replaceable heads, with either different headgear or none at all.

How about some Eastern Mystics in robes and turbans, maybe you can find those as civilians somewhere, but I have not seen any in 25-28mm that I liked.

I have seen some Kung Fu looking monks, but what about plain old monkly-looking fellows in simple robes?
