So we managed to get our French Revolution stuff out, the first time in a long while, to have a game of Black Powder, the campaign is set in the mythical Grand Duchy of Wolfenstein. the game was British versus Wolfenstein militia (or rabble)
the forces were
British8th regiment, 1 Battalion (24).
44th regiment, 1 Battalion (24).
Loyal Emigrant, 1 Battalion (24).
Combined light company (8, 33, 44 Regiments), 1 Company (9).
7th Light Dragoons, Dismounted, 1 squadron (6).
1 6pdr cannon.
Wolfenstein militia 4 x mobs (standard size)
6 Skirmishers
1 cannon
We managed to recall the rules OK, but we did miss out all the units special rules and have no cavalry, baby steps. the game went OK except for the commanders unit activation dice rolls, both commanders were on a command value of 7, in theory to roll 7 or less on two D6 you'd expect a reasonable number of successes but no bot us we must have gone several rounds with only moving about a couple of units each, once the action started both sides lost units but unfortunately, as I was the heroic and honourable British, the British came off worst and lost 50% of their units first and so decided to retire form the field of battle.
So here some pictures I took, hope you all like them.
