Large descriptor
« on: February 18, 2017, 07:09:34 PM »
Hello all,

Did a quick search but didn't see anything. Does the descriptor 'large' for a monster have any in-game effect that isn't taken into account in the Stat line?

Thanks

Main rulebook p.40 Modifiers to shooting -2 modifier, so easier to hit  ;)

So should someone summon a Major Demon, they would never want to choose the option of it being large because there's only a downside and no upside.

Yes - that's what I've always thought too. I'm guessing its if you are wanting to set up your own scenario.

Haven't got Forgotten Pacts to hand but rules on what characteristics demons have are different.

I play that large creatures can't be pushed back in combat, but that's (I think) a house rule and a very minor advantage.

I'm thinking about proposing a house rule that large monsters have reach and can attack someone behind a character. A wizard hiding behind his shield wall for example, providing the target is directly behind another character.

Like the reach rule in DnD 3.5
