Gunners War of Spanish Succession thread, Catalan infantry
« on: April 19, 2016, 11:39:50 PM »
Hi guys

The first half of a large War of Spanish succession (just realized I got it wrong in the title)  British/Dutch/Danish commission, this first half is mainly front rank metals, the second half will all be Wargames factory plastics, the FR figures aren't to bad and paint up well, the WF figures on the other hand aren't very nice, ugly faces, the marching pose is OK, but there is only 1, the details are soft, and the plastic seems a bit more brittle than Perry or Victrix, but having said all that, they are fine for filling out massed ranks for the period.
Here we have the British Coldstream Guards (metal), Dutch Grenadiers Regiment (metal) Danish Grenaderkorps Regiment (plastic),  Holstein Gottorf Osten Cavalry (in blue), Rhine Superior Nassau Weilburg (in grey) and mixed command figures.

See what you mean about the WF figures, look like a soft focus lens has been used. great painting as usual though.

Terrific work on all the figures.

sold my plastic WF units for the reasons you give.  But if they had looked like yours I would have kept them.

Hi guys

Just finished up part 2 of this WSS commission (just noticed I didn't do the Hessians blue polka dotted stockings, yes you heard correctly, tough bunch, not as tough as the pink polka dot gents, but tough none the less)

 Here we have

Danish - Livgarde Til Fods Regiment - yellow coat, red cuffs

Danish - Dronningens Regiment - red coat, yellow cuffs, short fusilier cap with yellow front

Hessian - Prince Leopold Regiment - indigo blue coat, blue cuffs, white stockings with blue spots.

Dutch - Number 19 Salm, Dohna-Ferassieres Regiment - grey coat, red cuffs
Württemberg - Leibgarde - yellow coat, red cuffs, breast plate and helmet
Danish - Livregiment Dragoons - red coat, white cuffs

Hi guys

Some 15mm Eureka miniatures WSS figures finished on commission, not sure what unit the Hussars are but the infantry are Catalan infantry, they are pretty nice figures, all comments welcome.
