After a long time of waiting I got most of my kickstarter pledge in last year. I started with my resin figures of the so-called "Stalker" Alien - basicly the monster out of the Alien 3 movie. The paintjob is inspired by Agis' stunning work on his Alien figures, as seen HERE on his website
I also used his receipe and followed it completely. As some variety can never be wrong, I went with the brownish scheme for those models. Somehow I don't want to have an all "glossy black" Alien army.

Just like Agis I didn't want to use the lipped bases Prodos supplies the models with and used 2mm thick laser-cut plywood bases found cheaply on eBay instead. Thinking of LV-426 or other colonies the bases got a rocky grey colour pattern which really makes the models stand out. Gloss varnish spray from Revell and an extra thick coat of Citadel's 'Ard Coat for the heads finished off the overall effect I was looking for.

They look amazing! The bases look perfect as well. Did you have much trouble cleaning mold line off these?

No, not really. The resin is sturdy enough to withstand handling the miniatures for game purposes but is also smooth enough to be easily cleaned off any mold lines - of which at least my Kickstarter minis have barely any.

The "Warrior" Aliens are one of the expansions of Prodos Games' AVP "The Hunt Begins" boardgame. When I pledged on kickstarter, I got myself 3 packs of these fine miniatures. I went for a classic, dark and metallic look on those. A little wash with a blue glaze (strongly thinned down) on top of the usual Nuln Oil gave them a nice finishing touch. Gloss varnish of Revell out of a spray can did the rest. 👍

its surprising we accept the look of gloss varnish on Alien miniatures, but any other Wargames miniatures it somehow doesn't look right!

Lt. Linn Kurosawa ended up at my home despite being never purchased or pledged for. She was accidently packed into my delivery. Guess I was lucky!

She is a character of an old Capcom Arcade game and somehow reminds me of Street Fighter's Chun-Li - but with a Katana blade. I painted her to represent her appearance in that title.
