I have very little in stocks as I plan what I need, buy it and paint it

Over the decades I have built up a bit of stock, but projects which are never really going to be done, I sell.

Amongst my gaming pals it seems I am a little unusual :)

Hello...my name is Paddy and I am a lead addict...... I've been coming to Lead Addicts Anonymous for several years now....

This is a very therapeutic thread.  I am firmly in the 1000+ category and all that virgin lead, excluding the several 100 partly painted figures that I started and then went off the project and pushed the figures to the dark recesses of the painting table, then into a box, then into the attic etc.

IN MY DEFENCE:  My percentage unfinished stat (i.e. the ratio of unpainted and unfinished lead to my painted and based collection) is about 16%.  So only one in six of my models has yet to make it onto the table.  Is this bad or good?
ALSO:  I have reduced the size of my unpainted lead mountain over the last few years by about 500 - so I am making inroads.

Given I am not playing at the moment then I have to say all my figures reside in the Alps!

Why am I still buying figures?

Oh dear I have a spreadsheet as well  lol That's how I know I have 760 28mm to paint. I do now have a few 40mm but they are off the radar at the moment. Still categorised as "samples"  :)

There's something wrong with the spreadsheet I'm using. It keeps saying 'does not compute'  ;)

At a Bring and Buy this weekend I bought over 1500 figures alone...Ok approx 1300 were unpainted 15mm peninsular British and other lot were a large collection of WW2 Americians. They just go in with the others in the pile.

I guess that says it all...
