Keith can you tell us what paints you are using or post up a how play by play of the process you are using?  :)
Need to figure out if I need to pick any paints up before my figs show up.

Thanks for the very kind comments guys (and yes James, they are definitely 28mm). I'm on a roll now so here's one of my favourite poses.
Apologies for lots of pics, but he's got a load of interesting webbing and stuff so I'm showing it off :-)

Mick - my 'photography' setup is dire ... currently a mobile phone and my painting lights resting on my arms! It's all I have and, sadly, the results are probabaly slightly better than when my actual camera worked. Terrible photos though and my white balance etc. is all over the place.
