No idea if I need any of these…but hey ho.

Be devious, make several SLIGHTLY different shades. Let the players sweat.
" I've released purple smoke" Then put down a couple of the different shades.
'Which one do you want to Napalm?' you ask the air support player.  :D

Great looking terrain! :-*
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo

Love has.beens idea.  Friendly fire is always a real danger on a battlefield.

All very good…but I don’t have purple spray! 😕

Well….I'm a bit pissed.   My dinky tyres finally arrived and they are slightly smaller than advertised….and no good.   I also ordered a set from Debris of War….and they are too big!    I’m having a Goldilocks moment here……so I’ve ordered yet MORE bloody tyres somewhere between the two!

I did order a couple of mattresses and some oil barrels from Debris too and they will work nicely.

Also just picked up a cheap Gorgi Huey Cobra.

Anyway…right now I think I have enough *cough* scenery to get this started.

So it’s time to actually paint a few minis to fight with!

Maybe then I will get an invite over to Paul’s …..😉

I recently played in a very retro WW II game with 1970s era rules. Players had to estimate the distances on the tabletop (a monster 6 feet wide and 24 feet long one!). A number of times, as the game wore on, the players would guess way short and either take out their own guys or hit nothing.  lol

That entertainment made up for what was a very tedious game, otherwise...

A few better sized tyres arrived just to finish this one off.

And I’ve started on a bunch of fellas. A bit to go yet though….

Give them to James, I'm sure he'd find a use for them.  :)

Figures are coming along nicely, sampans are sublime. Not hard to imagine them as part of the Cai Rang floating market.

Funny you mention that.   I just realised I can by 1.5mm styrene A3 sheets. I plan to make a river section with a “beach” and will make a free standing jetty system to set up a market.  If I leave it loose I can use it for other uses too.  But the boats all moored up would look cool.  Cheers

Google images for Cai Rang or Cần Thơ floating markets for a bit of inspiration. Much of the commerce is actually done on the water itself but of course piers, jetties and docks are always useful riverside items.
