Tiger (big cat) mini
« on: February 02, 2009, 11:44:26 AM »
I have scoured the net for a tiger mini but my efforts have come up with zippo - can anyone help?

I know there is a "Tiger Hunt" Foundry set - but I only require the tabby.

Thank you both.

Can anyone vouch for the Irregular Miniatures one? Any pics?

Sorry no pics, but would imagine its more like 25mm so maybe on the small side and not so finely sculpted as the Foundry one.

Black Orc Games (Hundred Kingdoms game) also has a very nice, though larger-than-a-horse tiger mini.  I have one and like it - it comes with a teeth sprue that is intended to make it into a Smilodon, but could easily be left off and normal teeth puttied in.  I believe Reaper also makes a variety of predatory cats.

I'd e-mail them and ask if they have a pic, they're very helpful.

I have managed to procure a couple of Foundry tiggers from fellow Aussie Poiter50 and will be receiving them soon.

Coincidentally Foundry posted newly painted pics on their site today of guess who? Now if I can just find someone to do a similar paint job for me!

Thanks all for helping me with this.

I use a lot of toy plastic animals. Some of the better prepainted ones are fine just the way they come. Others paint up really nicely. Some are just plain crummy but they are mostly a lot cheaper than the metal ones.

The ones I have aren't in great poses and mostly too large - I am using plastic elephants though!  :)

In saying that the Foundry one actually looks a little too small believe it or not - but is a great looking mini.
